Bundaberg/ Isis Next Gen meeting

Next Gen invites you to attend the Next Gen’s Bundaberg/ Isis meeting to be held in the Alloway area on Tuesday 17th February 2015.

Where: Meet at Alloway Country Club at 4pm and take a short drive to Greg Zunker’s farm to inspect soybeans, cane and new lateral irrigator.

Gerard Puglisi (the Next Gen Officer) will be present and will give us an overview of how the other Next Gen Groups are going.

We’ll also be providing further information about the upcoming Next Gen conference – “Step UP 2015″.

We encourage you to come along, bring a friend and join in the social environment that Next Gen is renowned for.

If you can’t attend the meeting, that’s ok, but still please consider making the effort to travel north for the conference.  The conference is at Palm Cove (just north of Cairns) on 16-18th March, and is great opportunity to meet like-minded people and learn new ideas.  We guarantee that you and farm will benefit from the positive experience.  For more info visit nextgenstepup.com  or talk to one of your local Next Gen Reps.

The Bundaberg and Isis Next Gen Reps held yet another successful meeting last night.

The meeting started at local farmer, Tony Chapman’s property where the group toured his farm and viewed his minimum till implements and compost mixer. Tony’s crop rotation and farming practices were also discussed. Continue reading →

Bundaberg & Isis meeting- 15th May

Group photo sugar terminalThe Bundaberg and Isis Next Gen meeting was held on Thursday 15th May has been deemed a great success. There were 27 people (including some new faces) who attended the tour of the Sugar Terminal at the Bundaberg Port, hosted by Cathy Kelly from Queensland Sugar Limited. The group was very interested to see how the sugar was handled and amazed at the size of the sheds and huge piles of sugar. Continue reading →

Next Gen was pleased to recently host a stall at the Australian Society of Sugar Cane Technologist (ASSCT) Conference on the Gold Coast.
